Our Story

We're Dandelion Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate maker in San Francisco's Mission District. For over ten years, we've been turning cocoa beans and organic sugar into single-origin dark chocolate. We travel and build lasting relationships with cocoa farmers and producers, then craft small batches of chocolate back home in our factory. With a minimal approach, we aim to highlight different cocoa beans' distinctive flavor notes — from classic fudge to tangy fruit.

People

Our relationships with cocoa producers are based on trust, communication, and transparency. We work with those who care as much about producing great beans as we do about making great chocolate.

Ingredients

Since we began, our single-origin chocolate has remained just two ingredients: cocoa beans and organic cane sugar. We focus on bringing out the nuances within each variety of cocoa bean.

Quality

For consistent quality, we work closely with those who grow, ferment, and dry the cocoa beans we source. While beans from each origin differ slightly every harvest (to our delight), we strive to always share distinctive cocoa with you.
