For this year’s Advent Calendar, Karen Neugebauer of Forté Chocolate was inspired by a treasured flavor combination: chocolate and citrus. In this limited set, five portions of her Orange Confit feature fragrant strips of orange peel enrobed in our delicately fruity 70% Maya Mountain, Belize chocolate. To make this treat, the team at Forté cuts fresh orange peels into strips and then slowly, over many hours, candies them in sugar syrup to achieve a bright citrus flavor and a tender, chewy texture.
